Many of Catherine’s hats are made for the Mother of the Bride and she often gets asked to help with the wedding veil and bridesmaids' headdresses.  This work has involved adapting old family veils and lace and making hair pieces of silk flowers and sometimes real flowers.

Catherine gets great pleasure from producing beautiful silk flowers and leaves, using natural fabrics such as organdie, silk, organza and velvet and inspiration from her garden for colour and texture.  She continues to learn and develope techniques to produce trimmings using many different materials for both hats and hairpieces.
